Another event promoting the state's SECC campaign, the Lip Sync Battle was a new event meant to draw participation across the state. The golden microphone was used to echo the award that went to the winning team. Any musical era could have been referenced, however, it seemed like the majority of teams chose songs from the 1990's and 1980's. As such I sought to pull some from that era where the two aesthetics blurred. A font reminiscent of the 1980's was chosen, as well as the asymmetrical triangle behind the text. Similarly, I chose a pattern from the early 1990's as the background and a jeweled-tone color scheme.
